While we own some of our homes, we also work in partnership with nonprofit housing corporations, such as Miami Valley In-Ovations (MVIO) and community landlords. Our clients pay rent to their landlords, while we provide ongoing direct care services by our Direct Support Professionals that assure welcoming and supportive family environments.

CICL provides a continuum of home options, from homes that provide 24 hours a day care, small group living homes with staff support, to semi-independent and monitored living options in apartments and homes within the community. Some of our clients have realized the American dream and own their own homes, with ongoing support provided by our team of Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) and management/administrative staff.
Our homes center on a family atmosphere. Our homes are true households. Staff are present to support and enhance the home environment and to positively support the people we serve, including encouraging them to actively participate in the daily activities within their homes.
Emphasis is given to individual personal spaces, with homes that reflect the interests and needs of the people who live in them. That may extend to the color of paint on the walls, to themes and decorations centered around a favorite sports team or hobby, showcasing a favorite collection - all to provide those personal touches that make a house a home.
