QUESTION:  Will my donation make a difference?

ANSWER:   EVERY donation adds to the quality of life of the people we serve!!!!

Due to their disabilities, the people served by our partner agencies fall within federal poverty guidelines, even though many are employed. Our primary funding source is Medicaid, which allows us to provide services by our dedicated professional staff.

That means that there is often little or no money for the things that most of us take for granted. That can mean new clothing when a new person comes to us with only the clothes on her back. It can translate to the replacement of worn out furniture or curtains on windows or pots and pans in kitchens. It can mean new eyeglasses when the old pair is lost or broken, new wheelchairs and walkers and other medical needs.

It can mean being able to say good-by with dignity when we lose someone, someone who has no life insurance because of the label of his/her disability, someone who has only us to assure that there is dignity in death, just as there was in life.

It can mean that we have accessible vans. It can mean computers and software and other technology to make us more efficient and effective so that we can place the focus where it needs to be - ON THE PEOPLE WE SERVE!
